Abstrak

Liver plays a vital role in metabolism and excretion. Used paracetamol in high dose can make acute liver failure (ALF) with indicate as necrosis in liverby elevated of marker enzyme such us SGOT & SGPT  (aminotransferase). Beside this, increase of stress oxidative parameter lipid peroxidation and decrease of catalase (antioxidant enxymatic). This research to know the effective of etyl acetate fraction of kenikir on the rat that induced by paracetamol. Design of hepatoprotective activity starterd by divede into six group. Group1 as normal, II negative control, III positive control and group IV-VI as experimental dose etyl acetate fraction of kenikir  281,25; 562,5; 1125 mg/kg BB. All gouprs give an exemple for seven days, at 7th day, 30 minute after last dose, all rats give oaracetamol 2,5 g/kg BB. At the 9th day, biochemical parameters measured  such as serum glutamate oxalate transaminase (SGOT) and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT),. Further, the effects of both extracts on lipidperoxidation (LPO)and catalase (CAT) wereestimated. Liver were analyzed for histopatology.Etyl acetate of kenikir at 1125 mg/kg BB give an optimum effect of hepatoprotective indicate by SGPT & SGOT (p<0 acetate="" activity.beside="" also="" and="" can="" catalase="" decrease="" etyl="" fraction="" from="" increase="" its="" kenikir="" lipid="" liver="" necrosi.="" of="" p="" peroxidation="" protect="" span="" style="mso-spacerun: yes;" this=""> From this study we can assume that mechanisme of hepatoprotective activity etyl acetate fraction of kenikir by antioxidant  properties.
